This was in 1554 allegedly convicted of treason and foul-mouthed speeches secret to life imprisonment in a tower. As a patrician, he had one wish, and asked to get at the expense of the city every day, two sausages. During his long imprisonment, Hans Stromer IV with each meal for lunch and dinner a sausage. Overall, he is said to have consumed 28,000 sausages. This he did 38 (!) Years, then he jumped from the tower and died.
